Luke  1:57-80

Are you a planner? Do you like to know what’s going to happen? Almost every night my daughter asks me what our plan is for the next day. She likes to know what to expect. Well this year has certainly thrown us all for a loop with our plans… school is different, church is different, work is different, our social outings are different, and for some our homes are even different…. Your original plan for this year is probably not what you expected. But while your plans have probably changed God’s plan never has. God has a beautiful and perfect plan. One that began in the beginning and will continue on forever. God used John to tell people of His coming and prepare people’s hearts for him. God also uses us and the stories of our lives to spread His love and good news and bring glory to His name. Now that might sound super scary… Ah! What if I do something wrong and mess up his plan?… well I once had someone wise tell me… don’t worry you’re not powerful enough to mess up God’s plan. Well Praise Jesus! Even in my sin I can’t mess up His perfect plan. He will help us in this journey through every step of the way. He will rescue us from our enemies and enable us to serve Him without fear! And He will guide our feet into the path of peace. His plan was always to be born as a humble human baby and die on the cross for the sins of everyone. And He always wanted to use us as part of His plan. “ For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only son that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life.” -John 3:16. And so what’s going to happen in God’s perfect plan… those who love Him will be together with Jesus in Heaven. Sounds like the perfect and beautiful ending to me! And don’t fear… we can’t mess up God’s perfect plan.
