Pastor – Gregg Jennings
Gregg grew up in the Show-Me State which explains the St. Louis Cardinal support group at Common Ground. After graduating from Ozark Christian College, Gregg moved to Northern Virginia where he worked for New Life Christian Church for three years before moving to Boston to study theology. While in New England, Gregg studied at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, earning degrees in Religion and in Global Missions. He moved back to Virginia in 2009 to become the lead pastor here at Common Ground. Gregg loves music and movies, a great book and exploring the depths of friendship and worship.
Worship & Outreach – Melissa Southall
Melissa graduated from the University of Mary Washington and joined the Common Ground staff in June of 2014. She has a passion for leading worship and for the beautiful city of FXBG. She married her high school sweetheart, has a beautiful daughter, and one pup. Melissa loves few things more than a good cup of coffee, plants, and getting outside with her family. At CG, Melissa oversees the areas of Worship, Outreach, & Hospitality.
Children’s Ministry and Student Ministry – Hans Labor
Hans grew up in Hamburg, Germany and moved to San Diego before high school. He graduated from Hope International University with a degree in Christian Ministry and has served as Youth Pastor since 1999. Hans loves working with children and students and is passionate sharing the ancient faith with the next generation. He met his wife through a friend and after their long-distance relationship, Hans moved to Virginia and married his beautiful wife, Jennifer in 2015. Hans and Jen have two young boys Koen and Silas. Hans enjoys watching movies, hiking, bike rides, paintball, or any outdoor activities.
Online Campus Leadership – Maddie Janney
Maddie recently graduated from the University of Mary Washington, where she earned a degree in Communication & Digital Studies. While in college, she was actively involved in dance and ministry, which ignited a passion for Christian community. Maddie recently married her college sweetheart, Connor, and loves to spend time with him while playing guitar, being outside, or enjoying a movie. At Common Ground, Maddie oversees all online content, where she hopes to digitally display her heart for hospitality.
