Are we a church divided? How would we know if we were? How would we repair the divisions if there were such a rift? What are the core aspects of the cross, resurrection, and ascension of Christ that should unify us as a body? Hey, where do we get that language of "body" as a metaphor for the local church?

We cannot wait to dive into a series over the next 8 weeks looking deep into St. Paul's first letter to the Corinthians. This letter from start to finish, is a long exhortation to unity and a call for the Corinthian believers to stop boating in their spiritual achievements and to pursue the benefit of others over and above themselves.

We will see Paul's response to this particular church's disunity is at the very heart of Common Ground, and that is cruciformity, a 'cross-shaped' way of life that embodies the way of Jesus. Nothing like the disembodied Stoicism or Paul's day or the 'wisdom' of our day.

We will hit some heavy themes over the next 8 weeks that will challenge our desires, loves, and ultimately our unity in the body of Christ. We hope you will join us as we all take up our cross and follow Jesus.
