Who We Are

Common Ground Church is a faith community that meets at the Old Silk Mill in Downtown Fredericksburg. We are a church full of sinners and saints who gather around the Table of Christ each week to be reminded that "you are not alone" no matter how hard life can be. It is in the community of doubters and those fully devoted that we find God's love best expressed through the life, death, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus Christ the King. 

Common Ground is a uniquely non-denominal and liturgical community centered around the worship of God as expressed in our gathering, discipleship, bearing witness, and mission to the world through the power of the Holy Spirit. We believe that Christ has died, Christ has risen, and Christ will come again. Therefore, we believe that we are called together for the renewal of all things through Jesus Christ who has promised to never forsake us. 

So for anyone who has lost their way or who has been denied justice, or who cannot shake the shame of unworthiness, we are a community who reminds ourselves each week that we are a royal priesthood, men and women, old and young to come out of the darkness and into the marvelous light of Christ who loves you.
