On the first Wednesday of every month, CG is hosting a morning prayer gathering. We will gather in the Commons from 6-7am with coffee provided, feel free to come as you can. All men and women welcome, friends invited as well!

Are you new or new(ish) to Common Ground? We would love for you to come hear more about what we believe and Who We Are! This is a mandatory course for anyone wanting to serve our CG Kids area and very informative time for anyone looking to join up with what God is doing here among us. 

You can register here and then join us in the Copper Shop from 6-7:30pm on Tuesday Night.  Dinner will be provided and childcare will be available upon request.

On the fourth Monday of every month from November-February, Common Ground is responsible for providing volunteers for the Cold Weather Shelters in Fredericksburg for our unhoused neighbors.

Common Ground volunteers are needed at both the Men’s and Women’s Shelter locations, and will set up the shelters to receive our unhoused neighbors for the night. Duties include things such as light cleaning, making beds, prepping for arrival of neighbors, making coffee, and helping neighbors check in for the night!

Deck the Halls with us on November 23rd! Join us as we decorate the church for advent! We will have our first "greening of the church" at 5pm, meeting in the Commons to start! Children are welcome to join with their parents and help out as a family! It will be a fun, festive, and relaxed time to gather and decorate for the coming of advent!

The Common Ground Men are hosting a night full of fun, testimony, and connection on Friday night, November 14th. This event will be open to all men as CG and you are more than welcome to bring a friend, neighbor, or even our Middle School or High School sons. We'll have plenty of stories to tell, marshmallows to roast, and hot chocolate to sip! Andy Ruiz is a fantastic host and there is plenty of room for all but be sure to register here. Dress warm and bring a camping chair. We'll provide the rest.

A fun day for our CG Women ages 18 and up! Join us as we gather for a day dedicated to worship, play, rest, and prayer, and we are praying that it is a great experience for our Women's Community at CG. Our vision is that this would be open and accessible for all, regardless of age and season of life. Teens are growing up in a world designed to capture their attention. Both theologically and sociologically, we become what we put our faces in front of and it’s easy for parents to feel powerless. However, technology doesn’t have to control your children (or you!). Join other parents asking the same questions: How can we guide our kids to use screens well, live intentionally, and cultivate hearts and minds in God’s ways? Come explore practical, faith-rooted approaches to help your teen engage technology with wisdom, care, and resilience—while building rhythms that nurture your whole family. We may not all walk away with the same applications, but we can have the conversation!

The Sanctuary Course is a small-group opportunity designed to reduce stigma, raise awareness, and engage individuals in meaningful conversations about mental health and faith. Each of the eight Sanctuary sessions examines a key mental health topic accompanied by Scriptural insight. Through exercises in listening, safety, and engagement, participants will come to better understand mental health challenges within a biblical context, identify and deal with stigma, discover self-help methods to reduce stress, and learn the strength of education and group support. 

The course will meet for 8 weeks, starting on Oct 5th.

There is no cost for signing up, but registration will close after the first two weeks.

Ages young adult and up.
