On the first Wednesday of every month, CG is hosting a morning prayer gathering. We will gather in the Commons from 6-7am with coffee provided, feel free to come as you can. All men and women welcome, friends invited as well!

Water holds great spiritual significance in the Christian faith. From the stories of creation, flood, exodus and on down to the baptism of Jesus, water is a source of life and a symbol of purification. When we ponder our own baptism we are reminded of God's work in our hearts through the power of the Holy Spirit. 

On January 1st, 2026 we would like to invite you to a polar plunge of sorts but with a different purpose. We will gather at the River for a liturgy of baptismal renewal as we enter the cold waters of a new year to be reminded of our new life in Christ. 

We will begin at Old Mill Park (the back pavilion) at 8:00, followed by teaching and finally the plunge.

On the fourth Monday of every month from November-February, Common Ground is responsible for providing volunteers for the Cold Weather Shelters in Fredericksburg for our unhoused neighbors.

Common Ground volunteers are needed at both the Men’s and Women’s Shelter locations, and will set up the shelters to receive our unhoused neighbors for the night. Duties include things such as light cleaning, making beds, prepping for arrival of neighbors, making coffee, and helping neighbors check in for the night!

Are you new or new(ish) to Common Ground? We would love for you to come hear more about what we believe and Who We Are! This is a mandatory course for anyone wanting to serve our CG Kids area and very informative time for anyone looking to join up with what God is doing here among us. 

You can register here and then join us in the Copper Shop from 6-7:30pm on Tuesday Night.  Dinner will be provided and childcare will be available upon request.

Deck the Halls with us on November 23rd! Join us as we decorate the church for advent! We will have our first "greening of the church" at 5pm, meeting in the Commons to start! Children are welcome to join with their parents and help out as a family! It will be a fun, festive, and relaxed time to gather and decorate for the coming of advent!

The Common Ground Men are hosting a night full of fun, testimony, and connection on Friday night, November 14th. This event will be open to all men as CG and you are more than welcome to bring a friend, neighbor, or even our Middle School or High School sons. We'll have plenty of stories to tell, marshmallows to roast, and hot chocolate to sip! Andy Ruiz is a fantastic host and there is plenty of room for all but be sure to register here. Dress warm and bring a camping chair. We'll provide the rest.

A fun day for our CG Women ages 18 and up! Join us as we gather for a day dedicated to worship, play, rest, and prayer, and we are praying that it is a great experience for our Women's Community at CG. Our vision is that this would be open and accessible for all, regardless of age and season of life.
